AmaWaterways has revealed the first images of AmaNubia, its newest luxury river ship set to debut on the Nile River in November 2026, while also sharing updated renderings of the reimagined AmaDahlia, which will enter service in September 2026.

The new vessels, together with the AmaLilia, represent the company's continued investment in Egypt as demand for luxury travel to the destination continues to grow.

"Egypt is unlike anywhere else," said Catherine Powell, CEO of AmaWaterways, in a statement. "The Nile is one of the most beautiful rivers on earth, and sailing down it feels like traveling through time, with one iconic site after another bringing a history we're all familiar with to life before our eyes. We're thrilled to see such strong renewed interest in Egypt, as travelers seek to experience its extraordinary history, vibrant culture and warm hospitality."

Intimate luxury on the Nile

Designed to carry just 76 guests in 38 staterooms, including 15 suites, AmaNubia has been created to offer an intimate luxury experience on the Nile.

A half-sister to AmaLilia, the ship features many of the same onboard amenities while incorporating its own unique layout and design.

Its interiors draw inspiration from ancient Egypt, incorporating elements influenced by temple stone carvings, the Nile River and Nubian culture.

On board, guests will find locally inspired Middle Eastern cuisine, a wellness area with spa services, a fitness centre and public spaces designed for relaxation between excursions. Every sailing will also be accompanied by dedicated Egyptologists, who will provide lectures and guide guests through the country's history and archaeological sites.

AmaNubia will operate AmaWaterways' Secrets of Egypt & the Nile itinerary, pairing a luxury Nile cruise with hotel stays in Cairo.

The journey includes visits to the Great Pyramids of Giza, the Great Sphinx, the Grand Egyptian Museum, Luxor Temple, Karnak Temple, the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Horus at Edfu, Kom Ombo and Aswan, as well as a private visit to Cairo's historic Abdeen Palace.

The cruise line has also partnered with several luxury hotels to complement the onboard experience.

AmaNubia guests will stay at the Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at The First Residence, while AmaLilia guests will stay at The St. Regis Cairo and AmaDahlia guests at The Ritz-Carlton, Cairo.

Optional experiences include excursions to Abu Simbel and High Tea at the Sofitel Legend Old Cataract Hotel in Aswan.

Guests can also extend their travels with optional land programs in Alexandria, Dubai and Jordan.

"Egypt continues to be one of the most exciting destinations in our portfolio, and the response from both our guests and the travel advisors who have experienced our Nile cruises this year has been extraordinary," said Powell.

"With AmaNubia, we're continuing to elevate the guest experience through beautifully designed ships, enriching experiences led by expert Egyptologists and partnerships with some of Egypt's most prestigious hotels, creating a seamless luxury journey from the moment guests arrive in Cairo to the end of their cruise."

AmaNubia will begin sailing in November 2026, joining AmaDahlia and AmaLilia as part of AmaWaterways' growing Nile fleet.

A fourth vessel, AmaCleo, is scheduled to debut in fall 2027, further expanding the company's presence in Egypt.
