Travel Nevada launches “Specialist Challenge” for Canadian travel advisors

Travel Nevada has launched the Nevada Specialist Challenge in Canada, a trade incentive aimed at helping Canadian travel advisors and front-line staff deepen their destination knowledge while improving their ability to sell Nevada vacations.

The new initiative invites the trade to complete two simple steps for the chance to win one of eight Nevada familiarization (FAM) trips.

Existing Nevada Specialists may also be eligible to apply to host one of the trips.

According to Travel Nevada, the challenge comes as destination expertise becomes increasingly important for the Canadian travel trade, with advisors looking for fresh product knowledge to confidently recommend Nevada to clients seeking city breaks, self-drive itineraries, outdoor adventures and immersive U.S. travel experiences.

Travel Nevada says the challenge is intended to make it easier for the trade to engage with the destination, build confidence and convert interest into bookings.

“Now is a great time for Canadian travel advisors and front-line staff to upskill on Nevada,” said Corey Marshall, Travel Nevada's account director for Canada, in a press release.

“The Nevada Specialist Challenge is designed to reward engagement, support trade education and help advisors confidently promote the destination to clients looking for something a little different.”

“Whether they’re new to Nevada or already established as a Nevada Specialist, this initiative gives the trade a valuable reason to get closer to the product and ‘Get a Little Out There’ with Travel Nevada.”

The eight prize experiences available through the challenge are designed to highlight the diversity of Nevada's tourism offerings, from Las Vegas and Reno to scenic drives, outdoor landscapes and regional experiences beyond the state's best-known gateways.

Canadian travel advisors and front-line staff are encouraged to complete the challenge, strengthen their Nevada destination knowledge and enter for the chance to win one of the eight prize experiences.
