Little Canada rebrands as Pocket Planet Canada, relaunch set for October

Toronto miniature attraction Little Canada is rebranding as Pocket Planet Canada following its acquisition by Pocket Planet earlier this year.

The transition is already underway, with an official relaunch planned for October 2026. 

The attraction at 10 Dundas St. E. will remain open throughout the rebranding process.

Little Canada was founded by Jean-Louis Brenninkmeijer in 2011 and opened to the public in 2021. 

Known for its handcrafted miniature landscapes depicting destinations across the country, the attraction has welcomed visitors from Canada and abroad.

Brenninkmeijer and the attraction’s model makers will continue to support Pocket Planet Canada through his newly established company, Miniature Makers Inc. 

The company is based in the attraction’s on-site studio at Yonge and Dundas.

Little Canada has been named Top Indoor Attraction at the Ontario’s Choice Awards for four consecutive years and previously received Attraction of the Year honours three times. 

It currently has a 4.9-star visitor rating.

Pocket Planet Canada plans to introduce touchscreen features throughout the attraction.

The first will allow visitors to control the miniature Rogers Centre by opening and closing its dome and changing its lighting. 

Sixteen additional touchscreen controls are expected to follow.

The company is also developing a miniature airport scheduled to open at the Toronto attraction in 2027. 

Pocket Planet plans to incorporate the airport concept into future locations as the brand expands internationally.

Pocket Planet Canada is seeking sponsors and strategic partners for the airport project.

The attraction has also introduced extended evening hours and will remain open until 9 p.m. from Thursday through Saturday.

Tickets are available through the newly launched PocketPlanet.ca website in partnership with live entertainment marketplace Fever.

The Toronto attraction will serve as the flagship location for Pocket Planet and a model for future destinations.
