HSMAI Ontario will return to the Fairmont Royal York on April 29, 2026 for its second annual Hospitality Tribute Gala, an evening recognizing leaders across Ontario's hospitality sector.

The event follows the inaugural 2025 gala, which brought together general managers and industry professionals from across the province and presented five awards.

"Ontario's hospitality community is one of the most talented, resilient, and passionate in the world — and the Hospitality Tribute Gala exists to celebrate exactly that. Building on the incredible momentum of our inaugural event, this year we are proud to once again shine a spotlight on the General Managers, teams, and industry partners who elevate our sector every single day," said Sandra Herriot, president, HSMAI Ontario.

"Whether you are a long-standing member of HSMAI Ontario or joining us for the first time, this is your evening and we look forward to welcoming you to the Fairmont Royal York for a night of inspiration, connection, and well-deserved recognition,"

Five awards will be presented during the evening, including the Industry Icon Award, which will go to Rosanna Caira, editor and publisher of Kostuch Media Limited and the voice behind Foodservice and Hospitality and Hotelier magazines.

The program includes a networking reception, dinner, awards presentation and silent auction. Items up for bid include round-trip flights, airline status upgrades, luxury gift baskets, high-tech items, hotel stays and education programs.

HSMAI Ontario says the gala is designed to bring together executives, rising talent and industry partners for networking and recognition.

The association represents professionals in sales, marketing and revenue management across both the hospitality and travel industries, and operates as part of a global network across 35 countries.

The event will run from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Fairmont Royal York in downtown Toronto.
