Elbows down: Las Vegas at-par deal draws 75,000 Canadian visitors

Canada's strained relationship with the United States may have kept some Canadians from travelling south of the border. But when there's a bargain to be found, it's a different story.

Las Vegas says it continues to see strong momentum from Canadian travellers as Circa Resort & Casino, the D Las Vegas and Golden Gate Hotel & Casino build on the success of their “At Par” promotion.

Since launching in January 2026, the initiative – which treats the Canadian dollar at parity with the U.S. dollar – has welcomed more than 75,000 Canadian visitors, generated over $15 million in slot coin-in and resulted in more than 7,500 hotel room nights, the hotels shared Thursday (July 2).

"The response from our Canadian guests has exceeded our expectations," said Derek Stevens, owner and CEO of Circa, the D and Golden Gate, in a press release. "Welcoming more than 75,000 visitors in just a few months shows there's a real appetite for experiences that deliver outstanding value without sacrificing the excitement, hospitality and entertainment that make downtown Las Vegas special.”

“We're thrilled to continue rolling out the red carpet for our neighbors from the north through the end of August."

Available through Aug. 31, the At Par program gives eligible Canadian guests $1 USD in value for every $1 CAD spent across participating gaming, hotel, beverage and entertainment offerings.

“By eliminating the impact of currency exchange, the promotion makes it easier than ever for Canadians to experience the best of downtown Las Vegas,” reads a statement.

Guests do not need to be staying at Circa, the D or Golden Gate to participate in eligible gaming, beverage or entertainment offers.

As PAX reported nearly a year ago, Las Vegas is determined to restore its love affair with Canadian travellers.

Despite a recent decline in visitation to the U.S., Canada remains one of Las Vegas’ most important international markets, representing 3.5 per cent of total arrivals.

In 2024, the destination welcomed 41.7 million visitors, including 1.5 million Canadians.

And new incentives continue to be rolled out to encourage Canadians to return.

BarCanada at the D will host an open-bar watch party for the Canada vs. Morocco match on July 4, for one. Guests who wear Canada colours will receive the free open bar.

Canadian guests may also redeem up to $500 CAD in slot promotional play, treated at full U.S. dollar value, by visiting Club One at Circa, the D or Golden Gate and presenting a valid Canadian passport or government-issued ID.

Slot play is available on participating machines at each property, with standard exclusions.

There are hotel offers, too. Canadian guests staying at Circa, the D or Golden Gate will receive the At Par rate at check-in, paying the same amount shown in U.S. dollars, charged directly in Canadian dollars, with no exchange rate applied.

Canadian citizenship must be verified with a valid passport or government-issued ID.

The At Par program extends to select beverage venues, including BarCanada at the D Las Vegas, a hockey-forward sports bar paying tribute to Canada, as well as Overhang at Circa and Bar Prohibition! at Golden Gate.

Eligible Canadian guests may redeem At Par beverage pricing multiple times per visit upon verification of Canadian identification.

Canadian guests do not have to be staying at Circa, the D or Golden Gate to participate in this promotion.
