BranchUp appoints North American advisory board
BranchUp recently held a meeting of its newly-appointed advisory council of travel advisors from the U.S. and Canada.
The council is comprised of Phillip Archer, Roaming Richly Travel, San Mateo, California; Sandy Anderson, Sulit Experience, Lolo, Montana; Shelby Frenette, TravelFun.Biz, Boca Raton, Florida; Denise Wiggins, Curran Travel, Blue Bell, Pennysylvania; Teri Williamson, Archer Travel Service USA, La Crescenta, California; Michael Turrell, Mikey Adventures Travel, Madison, Wisconsin; Gordon LaGrow, Vacation with the Magic, Acton, Mass; Sandy McLary, TTAND, Parksville, British Columbia; Clara Power, Power Travel, Oakville, Ontario; Karen Sharpe, Sharpe Travel Group, Clinton Township, Michigan; and Karen Speicher, Travel Best Bets, Vancouver, British Columbia --- and from BranchUp, Founder Mike Drever; CMO Anne Marie Moebes; Director of Creative Services, Michelle Pinard and Director of Technology, Silviu Hinta.
The group of advisors have a geographic spread in the U.S. and Canada, as well as varying numbers of years and level of experience in travel, different niche markets, different hosts and consortia. The advisors are ICs, managers, and owners.
At its first meeting, the council made it clear that it wants BranchUp posts to advocate on why to use a travel advisor and that they would like to see more suppliers do the same in all of their marketing.
The council also all agreed that as travel advisors, they do not have the time to create and post on a regular basis and they want BranchUp to continue to be their turnkey marketing solution in social media and marketing to their customers.
“The council is comprised of smart, talented, experienced travel professionals who know what they need and what will work in their everyday environment,” said Michael Drever, BranchUp founder. “We are thrilled and grateful that they give us their valuable time, feedback and ideas that will guide our team to continue to be the very best and only marketing solution that does the work for them.”
“BranchUp will indeed include more posts on the advisor’s social media pages that market the importance of working with an advisor so that their consumers are educated on not just the supplier products-- but the advisor’s experience, skill set and knowledge.”
The BranchUp Advisory Council is expected to meet quarterly.
