TIME Canada has named the nine senior travel industry leaders who will make up its inaugural Canadian committee as the mentoring program prepares to officially launch in Toronto this September.

The Travel Industry Mentor Experience (TIME), a not-for-profit mentoring program focused on developing and retaining the next generation of professionals in travel, tourism, hospitality, cruise and aviation, will welcome its first Canadian cohort at an inaugural event on Sept. 23, 2026.

The newly formed committee brings together executives and entrepreneurs from across retail travel, host agencies, tour operating, expedition and luxury cruising, aviation, rail, destination marketing and tourism.

Committee members will work alongside TIME Canada’s board and country program manager to shape the program for the Canadian market, support mentor and mentee cohorts and develop industry relationships aimed at sustaining the initiative over the long term.

The Canadian program builds on TIME’s mentoring framework and more than 15 years of experience in Australia and New Zealand.

Nine industry leaders join committee

TIME Canada’s inaugural committee consists of:

  • Sheralyn Berry, Director of Commercial Sales, Destination America
  • Jeff Element, Chief Operating Officer, The Travel Agent Next Door (TTAND)
  • Steve Farrelly, Founder, PlusSixOne Consulting
  • Nathalie Guay, Canadian Market Lead, OCEAN Signature Resorts by H10
  • Dianne Jackson, Director, Franchise & Affiliate, Transat Distribution Canada (TDC)
  • Shawna Little Calderwood, Founder, Lavish Adventure Travel
  • Emma McCormick, General Manager, North America, Chimu Adventures

“The calibre of leaders stepping forward to guide TIME Canada says everything about where this industry wants to go. In every conversation I have with people across Canadian travel, the same thing comes through — they want to give back, and they want to make sure our industry has a strong future. This committee turns that shared commitment into real support for the next generation,” said Edith Beaudoin, country program manager, TIME Canada, in a press release.

Toronto launch set for Sept. 23

The committee's appointment comes just over a month before TIME Canada holds its inaugural launch event in Toronto on Wednesday, Sept. 23.

The event will welcome the organization's first Canadian cohort of mentees, along with mentors, industry partners and supporters.

TIME Founder and Chair Penny Spencer will travel from Sydney, Australia, to deliver the keynote and mark the program's Canadian debut.

The Toronto launch is an invitation-only event. Industry professionals, organizations and media interested in attending or learning more about TIME Canada are being encouraged to contact the organization directly.
