The Canadian Association of Tour Operators (CATO) has launched a membership recruitment campaign inviting tour operators across Canada to join the national association.

CATO provides members with advocacy, industry leadership, collaboration opportunities and resources designed to support business growth.

The association represents tour operators' interests with government, regulators and key stakeholders.

"Tour operators play a vital role in Canada's travel ecosystem," said Brett Walker, chair of the CATO Board of Directors.

"By expanding our membership, we strengthen our ability to advocate on behalf of the industry, share best practices and support operators as they navigate regulatory and market challenges."

Membership benefits include industry advocacy, networking opportunities with operators and suppliers across Canada, market trend updates, professional credibility through alignment with a national association, as well as access to forums and resources supporting innovation in tour operations.

The campaign is open to tour operators of all sizes, from niche and specialty operators to large established brands.

Under the "Supporting Member" category, DMCs, tourism boards and suppliers can also join.

"By coming together through CATO, tour operators can amplify their collective impact and help shape the future of travel in Canada," said Jean Hébert, executive director.
