ACTA unveils 2026 Regional Advisory Committee Chairs & Vice-Chairs

The Association of Canadian Travel Agencies and Travel Advisors (ACTA) has announced The Chairs and Vice-Chairs for its 2026 Regional Advisory Committees.

In a press release, ACTA extended its congratulations to all appointees, expressing deep gratitude for their leadership, commitment, and service to the Canadian travel agency and travel advisor community.

“ACTA’s Regional Advisory Committees play a vital role in representing members across the country, supporting advocacy efforts, and providing valuable insights that help shape the future of Canada’s  travel industry,” the association said.

The 2026 committee leaders will guide regional engagement, collaboration, and strategic initiatives throughout the year.

2026 Regional Advisory Committee Chairs and Vice-Chairs

British Columbia and Yukon

Chair: Mark Greenwood, Travel Masters

Vice-Chair: Kimberly Wood, Maritime Travel

Alberta and Northwest Territories

Chair: Peter Keyter, South Travel Inc.

Vice-Chair: Shelly Ewing, CTC, Tier One Travel

Manitoba

Co-Chair: Mary Jane Hiebert, CTC, Oyster Travel

Co Vice-Chair: Melanie Carter, CTM, Carmel Escapes

Saskatchewan

Ontario

The Regional Advisory Committees will be supported by internal ACTA representatives working closely with each region.

Fiona Bowen, senior manager, membership, is responsible for Ontario and Atlantic Canada. Yacine Bimich, membership manager (Bilingual), is the ACTA lead for Québec.

Lesley Berry, membership manager, serves as the point person for British Columbia and Yukon; Alberta and the Northwest Territories; and Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

“When we work closely with our members across the country, we achieve the strongest outcomes for Canada’s travel agencies and advisors,” said Suzanne Acton-Gervais, president of ACTA, in a statement. “Our Regional Advisory Committees play a critical role in ensuring we stay connected to the needs of our members, share information effectively across regions, and advocate with a unified and informed voice.”
