Tech-savvy tour operator Worldia has appointed Ryan McElroy as a strategic advisor for North America.

McElroy will be responsible for accelerating Worldia’s North American growth, online and offline distribution strategy, and market expansion.

Worldia’s technology enables travel advisors to plan, customize, and sell FIT packages in minutes.

“Travellers now expect instant personalization, and advisors need tools that simplify the entire FIT booking process,” McElroy said in a statement. “With fragmented systems and rising consumer demand for hyper-personalized experiences, the industry is in urgent need of a platform that can truly deliver. Worldia delivers exactly that: powerful technology, backed by trusted human support and expertise.”

Working directly with Worldia's founding team, McElroy will support the brand's accelerated push into the United States and Canada while bringing new capabilities, new partnerships, and expanded adoption across travel agencies, travel advisors, consortia, and strategic supplier networks.

"Ryan has a tremendous understanding of digital marketing, distribution, technology and the day-to-day realities of travel advisors, this has and will continue to help chart our path as we expand in North America," said Erwan Corre, co-founder and chief strategy officer at Worldia, in a press release. “His experience at the intersection of travel, technology, and human-centered design brings tremendous value to our next stage of growth."

McElroy, a frequent keynote speaker on travel technology, personalization, and the future of travel distribution, is known for his work building platforms that blend AI, content, commerce, and advisor-driven service.

He has been advising Worldia through his relationship with Red River West, a venture capital firm that participated in both Worldia's Series A and B financing rounds, helping steer the company's move into North America through high-impact partnerships, commercial strategy, and market-specific product development.

"We are excited to have Ryan continue his work with our portfolio company, Worldia. His understanding of the travel landscape in North America from a technology and distribution lens, combined with his passion for travel advisors, aligns perfectly with Worldia's mission and long-term vision for the market," stated Antoine Boulin, founding partner, Red River West.

Expansion in U.S. & Canada

As Worldia deepens its presence in North America, McElroy's expanded role will focus on strengthening partnerships, accelerating advisor adoption, and supporting Worldia's multi-channel distribution model.

His advisory work will also help shape market-specific product enhancements designed to meet the evolving needs of the travel trade.

"Worldia represents the future of how complex travel will be sold,” McElroy said. “Their technology, distribution approach, and ability to elevate the travel advisor are unmatched in the market.”

The recent global launch of its AI-enabled trip builder is a “true game-changer,” he said.

“It allows hyper-personalization of a client's trip in minutes, enabling advisors to demonstrate immediate value to existing clients and, just as importantly, to prospects who may have traditionally booked on their own,” he said.

Instead of spending hours researching, building itineraries, and preparing quotes, advisors can “now use that time to do what they do best: consulting with clients in a highly collaborative and strategic way,” he said.

“Joining Red River West earlier this year has given me a front-row seat to Worldia, its growth potential, and the ambitious team that is not only innovating but ready to scale further in North America,” he said. “I'm excited to help bring this unique model of technology, service, product, and operating excellence to more partners across the U.S. and Canada while supporting all stakeholders across the travel trade ecosystem as we build the next generation of connected tour operating.”
