Swan Hellenic has expanded its North American sales team amid "increasingly strong growth," particularly through a partnership with the Virtuoso Network, the company announced Tuesday (Oct. 22).

Kelly Predmesky has been promoted to director of national accounts, where she will manage day-to-day sales and marketing plans and be the primary contact for Virtuoso, ensuring it and any future consortium accounts receive the focused attention they deserve.

Mark Spillane recently began with Swan Hellenic filling Predmesky's former position as director of sales, eastern U.S.

Spillane is highly-regarded in the cruise industry and brings extensive director-level experience in the expedition sector, most recently as director of expedition Sales for Seabourn, and prior to that in the same role with Crystal

Previously, Spillane was at Silversea under Cheryl Topalian, now Swan Hellenic North America's director of operations.

Like Predmesky before him, Spillane will concentrate on developing travel agency sales in the Eastern U.S.

But at the same time, he will also work proactively with Predmesky to develop sales with Virtuoso throughout North America and Canada, as will Eric Bacon (director of sales, Western US & Canada) and Rolf Logan (director of sales, NA Groups), in addition to focusing on their respective areas. This will now form an integral part of their roles.

“I’m very proud of our North America team. These changes will enable us to deliver even more focused partner support and customer service, advancing our high-end reputation as the pioneers of cultural expedition cruising," said Joe Maloney, VP of sales, North America, in a statement.
