Dr. Kishore Shallow has been appointed Minister of Tourism and Maritime Affairs for St. Vincent and the Grenadines, following his swearing-in to the country's new cabinet on December 2.

Shallow previously served as president of Cricket West Indies, where he led the organization's sports administration and worked to expand the commercial value and visibility of West Indies cricket.

His background in sports administration is expected to support St. Vincent and the Grenadines' growing sports tourism sector, which includes International Masters' cricket tournaments and youth cricket development programming.

"The Tourism Authority is honoured to welcome Dr. Shallow as our new Minister," said Annette Mark, CEO of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Tourism Authority.

"His proven leadership, modern outlook, and deep commitment to national transformation align perfectly with the direction in which our tourism product is headed. We look forward to working closely with him to further elevate our destination, strengthen our markets, expand our maritime opportunities and build on the tremendous momentum already underway."

The Tourism Authority also acknowledged the outgoing minister for his support during recent periods of expansion and international repositioning efforts.

The 2025-2026 tourism cycle includes international events, new airlift partnerships, hotel developments, cultural festivals and product-development initiatives.
