Michele Saegesser promoted to SVP, sales at Viking

Viking has announced the promotion of Michele Saegesser to senior vice president of sales, effective immediately.

Saegesser will continue to lead Viking's sales organization, strengthening collaboration and supporting the company’s growth priorities, reads a press statement.

A respected leader in the travel industry, she is known for her deep trade expertise and strong relationships across the travel advisor community.

In December 2025, Saegesser returned to her previous role as Viking's vice president, sales and national accounts after previously retiring. 

Before joining Viking 25 years ago, Saegesser built an extensive career with organizations including Disney, Princess Cruises, Rocky Mountaineer, Hurtigruten, Luxury Trains of the World, and Via Rail Canada.

Last year, Saegesser was also honoured with the role of ceremonial godmother of the Viking Honir, Viking's 100th ship and part of the award-winning fleet of sister ships of Viking Longships.
