Heidi Schnitker joins Collette as BDM for Central Ontario & Manitoba

A well-known face in the Canadian travel industry has started a new chapter.  

Heidi Schnitker, who had been working at Trevello Travel Group as a professional development manager since 2022, has joined Collette as a business development manager for central Ontario and Manitoba, PAX has learned.

In her role, she will be travelling throughout her territory, attending events, spending valuable time with travel advisors and time on the road presenting Collette’s “exceptional itineraries to key partners,” Schnitker told PAX.

“My main goal will be to boost both sales and the satisfaction of Collette's partners and travellers,” she said.

What attracted her to Collette? After working as a business development manager for more than 16 years, including time at TTC Tour Brands, “you get to know the companies and the sales professionals that work for them,” Schnitker explained.

“Collette has been a leading the way in guided tours for over 107 years,” she said. “I’m absolutely thrilled to be part of a company that creates such incredible tours, offering unique and unforgettable experiences. It’s exciting to work for a team that consistently delivers top-notch travel adventures.”

What is she most looking forward to? “Being back on the road and reconnecting with all of our travel partners and talking about what Collette has to offer their clients,” she said.

As for her message to the travel advisors at Trevello: “I’m so grateful for my time at Trevello and the friendships that I made with the advisors and also the amazing head office team,” Schnitker said.

“Zeina Gedeon [Trevello’s CEO] is an incredible leader and I’m so looking forward to seeing what they do next. Special shout out to Caroline Hay [Trevello’s general manager, cruise] who supported me in the beginning and continues to be a mentor,” Schnitker said.
