Eric Bacon is no longer serving as director of strategic accounts for Canada and the Western United States at Swan Hellenic, PAX has learned.

He’s staying in the travel industry, but in a different segment, joining American tour operator Central Holidays on Feb. 9 as director of sales for the Western U.S. region.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to join such a passionate and innovative team that’s dedicated to creating unforgettable travel experiences around the world,” Bacon wrote on his LinkedIn page. “This new role allows me to continue doing what I love most — connecting with amazing travel advisors and partners to craft journeys that inspire and enrich.”

“Here’s to new adventures, meaningful collaborations, and an exciting year ahead! I look forward to reconnecting with colleagues and meeting new faces along the way.”

A Canadian who has been based in the United States for several years, Bacon is a well-known figure in the industry.

Before Swan Hellenic, he served as director of business development at Celestyal Cruises. He has also represented Atlas Ocean Voyages, Hurtigruten and Rail Europe.
