Barbados Tourism taps Michèle Rauzon to grow Quebec market

Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. (BTMI) has appointed Michèle Rauzon as a business development representative for Québec, strengthening the destination’s presence in the province.

Rauzon brings more than four decades of tourism industry experience to the position, along with an extensive network of relationships across Québec’s travel trade.

In her new role, she will work with travel advisors and other industry stakeholders to build awareness of Barbados, provide destination training, support cooperative marketing initiatives and encourage more Québec travellers to visit the Caribbean island.

The appointment comes as BTMI continues to invest in market development and trade partnerships in Québec, which the tourism organization describes as one of Barbados’ most valuable Canadian markets.

“Québec has long been one of Barbados' most valuable and strategically important markets, and as we continue to build on the remarkable momentum we've achieved in Canada, investing in strong local representation is essential," said Eusi Skeete, director, Canada, Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc., in a statement.

For Rauzon, the new position also marks a return to a destination she has promoted throughout her career.
