WestJet Vacations accepting deposits

WestJet Vacations is now accepting deposits from travel agents for vacation packages.

According to WestJet, the change is based on several factors including the opportunity to increase commission settlement frequency to bi-weekly and a desire to simplify the booking process, as well as to remain competitive with other tour operators.

A $250 deposit per guest will be required at time of booking with final payment due 45 days prior to departure. Deposits and final payment will be accepted by travel agents only via Revnet, SIREV and the Travel Support Team (TST).

Travel agents are responsible for submitting final payment 45 days prior to departure. Unpaid balances will be settled through TIESS. Commission earned will be processed once full payment has been received. Commission settlement frequency will increase to bi-weekly settlements beginning Nov. 13, 2015.

Deposits will be accepted via credit card and although WestJet dollars are not accepted for deposit, they can be used for final payment on bookings.
