WestJet reported an infrastructure outage Thursday morning (July 14) that was impacting its airport check-in, flight planning and payment services on westjet.com while also interrupting operations.

The issue was first reported on WestJet's website and the airline, early Thursday, said it was working towards resolving the issue.

By 9:45 a.m. EST, WestJet announced that its check-in and gate services nationwide were restored.

But self-serve baggage drop continues to experience issues at Calgary (YYC), Ottawa (YOW), Saskatoon (YXE) and Halifax (YHZ), the airline said in its latest update.

Passengers are encouraged to check in with WestJet's website here for updates.

This is a developing story.
