WestJet Encore pilots to picket in Calgary

WestJet Encore Airlines pilots are set to picket at Calgary International Airport on Friday, March 22.

The announcement comes just days before the pilots could take legal job action or face a lockout by WestJet management, according to the Air Line Pilots Association, International (ALPA), which is representing the pilots.

They hope to negotiate a contract that will ensure improved working conditions, wages and career progression within the WestJet Group.

The informational picket will take place from 12:15pm to 1:30pm local time at departures level door 17.
