Virgin Atlantic launches “High Five” loyalty reward for Flying Club members
Virgin Atlantic has launched High Five, a new Flying Club initiative that rewards members for choosing the airline across five different years.
The airline said flight tracking for eligibility has been backdated to Jan. 1, 2021.
Qualifying members will receive 12,000 Virgin Points, while Red Tier members will also earn 10 per cent bonus points on all future flights.
Virgin Atlantic pointed to how the reward can be used, noting that a return Saver Reward Seat from New York to London starts at 12,000 Virgin Points in Economy and 16,500 in Premium.
Members with household accounts can pool multiple 12,000-point rewards earned within the same year.
Virgin Points never expire, and can be spent across Virgin Atlantic, Delta Air Lines, and other partners across the Virgin Red family.
Rewards will be automatically credited to eligible members’ Flying Club accounts, and Virgin Atlantic said members will soon be able to track their progress toward their next High Five reward in the Virgin Atlantic app.
High Five builds on other Flying Club updates, including reward flights counting toward status, non-expiring points, and Unlimited Availability of reward seats.
“Not everyone flies every month, but many of our customers come back to Virgin Atlantic year after year – and that commitment deserves to be rewarded,” said Anthony Woodman, vice president, Flying Club & CRM, Virgin Atlantic.
“High Five is our way of recognizing that loyalty isn’t one-size-fits-all and giving something back to customers who make Virgin Atlantic their airline of choice over time.”
