Transat introduces Experience Collection Haiti

Transat has announced new vacation packages to Haiti from Montreal, part of the company’s involvement in reintroducing tourism to the island.

In partnership with the Department of Tourism and several local organizations, Transat Holidays created the Experience Collection Haiti, an innovative range that offers vacations based on authentic experiences, culture and nature. Available as “Duos” and “Trios”, these packages include a varied program of guided excursions so travellers can thoroughly explore Port-au-Prince, the Côte des Arcadins and Cap-Haïtien.

Available for 7 or 14 nights, these more traditional packages include roundtrip flight, transfers and accommodation in one of three hotels offered in Port-au-Prince or at one of four resorts on the Côte des Arcadins. Meal plans vary according to the hotel booked. Transat Holidays has enhanced its existing offer to this Caribbean destination renowned for its historic sites, natural beauty, superb beaches, and many sports and water activities.

Designed to meet a growing consumer demand, the new packages allow visitors to explore a destination more freely at their own individual pace. Tourists can either opt for a less ordinary beach vacation experience on the Côte des Arcadins, or immerse themselves in city life in Port-au-Prince.

Air Transat offers a weekly flight between Montreal and Port-au-Prince, on Wednesdays from Jan. 14 to Oct. 28. Packages include stays at a range of 3, 3½ and 4-star hotels in Port-au-Prince and the Côte des Arcadins: Best Western Premier, Royal Oasis by Occidental, Karibe Hotel, Club Indigo, Kaliko Beach Club, Moulin sur Mer and Wahoo Bay Beach Hotel.

Transat Holidays is the only tour operator offering this type of stay in Haiti.
