Transat honoured at Gala Uni-Vers

Transat walked away a winner at the third annual Gala Uni-Vers, where it was awarded with Tour Operator of the Year, while Air Transat won for Best Airline.

Travel professionals, suppliers and media all came out to celebrate the best in the Quebec travel industry at the event organized by the Association des Agents de Voyages du Québec (AAVQ), held Oct. 22 at the Rialto Theatre in Montreal,

Industry professionals voted on their favourite tour operator from Oct.1 to 22 while consumers voted on their favourite airline between Oct. 1 and 15 on the AAVQ’s website, following a campaign in La Presse.

In addition to its two big wins, Transat’s Christopher Jeffrey-Racine was also nominated as Sales Representative of the year while Lina de Cesare, a co-founder of Transat, was honoured for her contribution to the travel industry. She is now part of Transat’s Honour Gallery of the Association des Agents de Voyages du Québec.
