Toronto travel company facing TICO charges

The Travel Industry Council of Ontario charged a Toronto-based travel company with multiple counts of failing to properly maintain trust accounting.

Esterlina Coyant, Mirta Zamora and Amigo Travel Ltd., which operated in Toronto and across Ontario, face 15 counts each, under the Travel Industry Act.

The first court appearance is scheduled for Sept. 11 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Toronto.
