TAP Air Portugal is introducing new passenger services, including updated travel kits, complimentary access to PressReader, a “Skip Meal” option and luggage collection, storage and delivery through a partnership with LUGGit.

The new travel kits are now available in Business and Economy Prime cabins on the airline’s long-haul flights.

Named “The Blaze,” the collection features an updated design and refreshed contents, with colours inspired by Portugal and a bag made from recycled materials.

The kits include socks from PEDEMEIA, a family-owned Portuguese textile company, and wellness and personal care products from 8950, a brand inspired by the landscapes and scents of the Algarve.

Recycled materials are used in several components, including the bag and inner lining, alongside accessories such as a bamboo toothbrush and kraft paper packaging.

Complimentary digital reading

TAP is also offering free access to PressReader’s digital library of newspapers and magazines aboard its Airbus A330-900 and Airbus A321LR aircraft.

Passengers can browse national and international publications through the aircraft’s Wi-Fi portal without purchasing an internet package.

The catalogue includes news, business, travel, technology, sports, lifestyle and entertainment titles from markets including Portugal, Brazil and the United States.

To access the service, passengers connect their personal device to the aircraft’s Wi-Fi network, log in to TAP’s in-flight entertainment system and select the PressReader section.

The service complements PressReader access already available in TAP’s lounges in Lisbon and Paris.

Meal preferences & luggage services

The airline’s new “Skip Meal” option allows long-haul passengers to indicate before their flight that they do not wish to receive an onboard meal.

Customers can make the request on TAP’s website through “Manage Booking” or in the TAP app under “Choose Meal.”

The preference is recorded in the airline’s systems and shared with cabin crew before departure so they can identify passengers who choose not to be woken for meal service.

TAP said the option is intended to support passengers who prefer to rest while also helping reduce food waste.

Through its new partnership with LUGGit, TAP is also offering luggage collection, storage and delivery for passengers travelling through airports in Lisbon, Porto, Madrid, Barcelona and Athens.

Customers can request the service at departure, at their destination or both, with pickup or drop-off at an airport, hotel, home or another location of their choice.

The service allows passengers to explore without carrying their luggage for part of their trip.
