Sunswept Resorts hosts VIP event
After a special event last night, a select number of travel professionals are no doubt aching for a "body holiday."
Sunswept Resorts, parent company to Saint Lucia-based Rendezvous and The BodyHoliday LeSport, hosted an appreciation dinner and presentation for top-selling partners in Toronto, rounding-off a roadshow across Ontario that also paid visits to Ottawa, Kingston and Burlington.
Armin Asceric, brand and marketing manager, took the opportunity to showcase the unique vacation experiences available at each property, describing Rendezvous as "the boutique hotel for sophisticated couples" and The BodyHoliday as the place where "you give us your body for a week and we'll give you back your mind."
Rendezvous
The serene setting of Rendezvous, located on Malabar Beach, only scratches the surface of this property's depth of appeal. The four pillars to its operation are celebration, relaxation, discovery and intimacy, Asceric explained, noting that it caters to anyone, from those getting married and honeymooners to those couples seeking an escape just for the sake of reconnecting.
The "discovery" piece is an especially unique element, with onsite activities ranging from water aerobics to volleyball, archery to yoga and thai chi.
"You've all heard the saying, 'A couple who plays together, stays together,'" Asceric said, emphasizing the resort's appeal for couples who want to spend time together. Romance is easy to find, whether along the lazy river or water gardens, or at the spa where couples can be trained to give each other massages.
Asceric described Rendezvous as a quieter environment from most all-inclusive, couples resorts, with no loud music playing at the pools and various private spots for genuine alone time, not to mention that its boutique size makes for a calm environment.
There are 100 rooms and suites at Rendezvous, including 18 Garden View rooms, 18 Premium Garden rooms, 24 Verandah suites, eight Seaside suites, 21 Luxury Beach Front rooms, eight Beach Front Cottages and three Luxury Beach Front suites.
A third dining option is soon opening on-property as well, Malabar Restaurant, which will be a "Mediterranean dining experience on the beach," Asceric told guests.
In addition, the Ever After Collection, which was launched last year, continues to offer personalized wedding experiences for guests, all of which are commissionable to agents who book the option on behalf of clients.
The BodyHoliday
The Ever After Collection is also available at The BodyHoliday, one of the leading wellness resorts in the world, which is located on Cariblue Beach, 35 minutes from Castries.
There are 155 guest rooms including 29 Garden Standard Garden View rooms, 16 Grand Luxury Ocean Front rooms, seven Junior Suites and the Penthouse Suite. The newest addition is a five-room villa, Villa Hibiscus, which is part of the all-inclusive experience and less than three minutes from the main property. Asceric pointed out that it is a great option for yoga groups or those seeking a rejuvinating holiday together.
The BodyHoliday is particularly unique in that it is focused on health and wellness, but doesn't take away from the luxuries expected on a holiday.
"It's easy to eat healthy but it's all about choice," Asceric explained.
Guests can choose to have a schedule for their getaway pre-planned prior to arrival, which can include activities, spa visits, appointments with nutritionists and so forth, or opt to play it by year once they reach the destination.
The Wellnesss Centre is where guests go to receive pampering body treatments designed to relax and rejuvenate both mind and body, while holistic classes (yoga, Tai Chi, meditation, etc...) are also available.
The number of activity options are part of the appeal - spinning, fencing, wakeboarding and so on, with more continually being added to the roster. Themed months have been introduced to encourage year-round visitation, from Jive June (also available at Rendezvous) which offers dance classes with Dancing With the Stars instructors, to Wellfit Families in July and August, when the property opens itself up to younger visitors so families can enjoy a wellness vacation.
Sunswept Specialist
Judy Duncan, Sunswept sales manager in Canada, reminded event attendees to register their bookings with the Sunswept Specialist program to receive cash incentives and free nights. The program is designed to be an easy to use tool for travel professionals to add new client bookings and track rewards.
