Porter launches Ottawa-Deer Lake service
(Porter)

Porter Airlines is launching service between Ottawa International Airport and Deer Lake Regional Airport today, becoming the only airline to connect the two destinations with non-stop flights.

The seasonal route will operate four times weekly and run until early September.

Flights are operated on Porter's Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, which carries up to 132 passengers.

The aircraft has a two-by-two configuration, meaning there are no middle seats.

All Porter E195-E2 aircraft also offer free, fast Wi-Fi.

Passengers receive Porter's onboard service, including complimentary wine and beer served in glassware and premium snacks.

PorterReserve passengers receive extra legroom and priority boarding. These options are also available à la carte to PorterClassic passengers.

The new flights have direct connections to Toronto City, Toronto Pearson, Hamilton, Calgary and Edmonton.

In Ottawa, visitors can explore outdoor festivals, the Rideau Canal, museums, galleries and the ByWard Market.

Deer Lake offers access to lakes, rivers, mountains and Gros Morne National Park, known for its landscapes and hiking trails.

The route complements Porter's existing Deer Lake service from Halifax and Toronto.
