Partners join Air Canada for Chinese New Year event

Members of the Air Canada team, including Duncan Bureau, vice-president, global sales, and Rocky Lo, general manager business development - Asia, hosted travel partners from the Toronto area to celebrate the upcoming Chinese New Year.

Ringing in the Year of the Ram, Bureau took the opportunity to highlight the airline's recently announced results, which were a record-best in its 77-year history.

"We certainly would not have been able to accomplish that without all of you in this room," Bureau told guests. "We truly do appreciate and value the relationships, partnerships and most importantly, the friendships."

Air Canada continues to increase access to destinations throughout Asia, most recently having inaugurated service between Toronto and Tokyo-Haneda last July; meanwhile, seasonal service between Vancouver and Osaka is set to begin in May.

Various routes to Asia out of YVR are benefiting from the introduction of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, including Beijing (this month) and Seoul (March), featuring the airline's new International Business Class and Premium Economy seating. Last year, Air Canada converted its Vancouver-Shanghai route to Dreamliner service, as well as its Vancouver-Tokyo/Narita flight.
