Paris terror attacks affected bookings: Transat

The Nov. 13 terrorist attacks in Paris have affected bookings to the French capital, but the decline is expected to be only temporary, according to Transat CEO Jean-Marc Eustache.
The Canadian Press reported that during a conference call yesterday, Eustache stated that the attacks, which killed more than 130 and injured hundreds more, caused a dip in sales for pre-Christmas flights. However, the CEO said that bookings for Paris flights in spring and summer 2016 were up over last year's numbers.
Eustache likened the incident to 9/11, stating that while 25 per cent of Transat’s aircraft were grounded following Sept. 11, 2001, the negative impact on travel diminished after six months.
