Pacific Coastal, Air Canada link up with interline partnership

Pacific Coastal Airlines has launched a new bilateral interline partnership with Air Canada, making it easier for travellers to connect between communities across British Columbia and destinations throughout Canada and around the world.

Under the new agreement, customers can purchase a single ticket for eligible itineraries that combine flights operated by Pacific Coastal Airlines with Air Canada, Air Canada Rouge and Air Canada Express.

Travellers will also be able to check in and receive boarding passes for all flights at their first point of departure, streamlining journeys that involve connections between the two carriers.

“Partnering with Air Canada is a significant milestone for Pacific Coastal Airlines and the communities we serve,” said Quentin Smith, president of Pacific Coastal Airlines, in a press release. “This agreement will make it easier for our customers to travel beyond British Columbia while creating new opportunities for visitors, businesses and families to reach communities throughout our province.”

The partnership effectively connects Pacific Coastal’s regional B.C. network with Air Canada’s broader domestic and international network.

“This interline agreement with Pacific Coastal strengthens regional connectivity by linking their network with Air Canada’s global reach. Together, we are making it easier for travellers across British Columbia to access destinations in Canada and around the world, while helping drive tourism and economic growth in communities throughout the province,” added Karim Rachi, senior director, global partnerships at Air Canada.

Eligible interline itineraries are available through aircanada.com, travel agencies and online travel agencies. They are not currently available through pacificcoastal.com or the Pacific Coastal Airlines Call Centre, the airline said.
