Ontario agent facing TICO charges

An Ontario travel agent is facing charges from the Travel Industry Council of Ontario.

Maria Ellen Galorport, Sole Proprietor trading as Budget Travel and Tours, has been charged with the offence of carrying on business with Maria Rowena Santiago Belen, who was required to be registered as a travel agent but was not in fact so registered, contrary to the Travel Industry Act.

The first court appearance is scheduled for Nov. 13 at 9 a.m. in the Ontario Court of Justice in Toronto.
