New concept flips middle airline seats

A new airline seating concept seeks to increase the number of passengers on aircraft by reversing the middle seat in every other row.

Zodiac Aerospace France is seeking a patent for its HD31 cabin design, in which every other row of seating features a reversed middle seat, a design which the company says would allow for at least 30 additional passengers on a flight. The concept also features folding seats to allow for easier exits.
