Lufthansa Group to hire more than 3,000 new staff in 2017
Deutsche Lufthansa AG will hire more than 3,000 new staff this year, the company has announced.
Flight attendants will comprise the largest group of new hires, with around 1,400 to be added at the company's hubs in Frankfurt and Munich alone. Overall, more than 2,200 new staff are expected to be hired by the Lufthansa Group airlines.
Lufthansa Technik, meanwhile, is planning to recruit 450 new staff at different locations, while Austrian Airlines will also hire more than 300 new cabin, check-in and cockpit staff. 250 new candidates will start an apprenticeship or a degree in the Lufthansa Group in 2016/17, with nine degree courses and 34 training programs currently offered.
