Len Corrado, president of Sunwing Airlines, to retire from company
Len Corrado, president of Sunwing Airlines, will retire from the company, effective Friday, April 4, 2025.
Sharing the news on his LinkedIn page over the weekend, Corrado, who worked at Sunwing Airlines for nearly seven years, wrote that after careful consideration, it is “the right moment to step back.”
“With the integration of Sunwing Airlines into WestJet well underway and on track to conclude by the end of May, I have full confidence my leadership team, and our dedicated Sunwing Airlines employees can take the baton from here,” Corrado wrote.
He said his immediate future plans includes prioritizing quality family time, relaxing on the dock at the cottage, running around on the boat and focusing attention on golf clubs and fishing rods.
“I will think about what comes next once or if I get tired of rest and relaxation,” he wrote, noting that he has classified this next chapter as “retiredish” or “maybe retired.”

Corrado goes on to thank “many wonderful people” for their collaboration, support, collegiality and partnership during his time at Sunwing.
“I want to thank the Hunter family, Colin, Stephen and Matthew, who put their trust and faith in me to make positive contributions to the great organization they founded and built into North Americas leading leisure travel company,” he wrote.
Corrado thanked former Sunwing Airlines President Mark Williams. “I had the good fortune and pleasure of working with Mark as part of his executive leadership team (for the second time in my career). I was honoured to take the baton and become president of Sunwing Airlines from Mark after his retirement,” he wrote.
Corrado also thanked the “epic” team members at Sunwing Airlines and Sunwing Vacations Group for their “dedication to excellence in making people's vacation dreams come true.”
“On the good days and on the not so great days (that happen to any organization) the spirit of teamwork and family was the engine that drove our beautiful ‘orange’ machine forward,” he wrote.
He paraphrased his work experience, using the following lines from the Cheers theme song:
"A place where everybody knows your name and, they're always glad you came. A place where you want to go, where people know people are all the same, and everybody knows your name.”
“Thank you for all you have done for our passengers, our brand and each other!” he wrote.
Corrado also thanked the leadership team at WestJet – “and everyone at WestJet who I was fortunate enough to cross paths with through the integration process.”
“Your collegiality, professionalism and positive collaborations have been deeply valued,” he wrote.
“Finally, to my leadership team a simple thank you is not near enough. Marcella, Anna, Angela, Natali, Hermana, Keith, Khuram, John, Jimmy, and Marek thank you for the privilege of your partnership!”
“To everything, turn, turn, turn, There is a season, turn, turn, turn, And a time to every purpose under heaven."
Dawson to retire in March 2026
Corrado’s update comes on the heels of Andrew Dawson, president of Sunwing Vacations Group, also announcing his retirement from the company.
As previously reported, Dawson will retire next year in March 2026
“The hardest part of my decision was breaking the news to my incredible team. At the same time, I know that, thanks to their passion and expertise, Sunwing Vacations and Vacation Express will go from strength to strength,” Dawson told PAX earlier this month.

Over the next year, Dawson and his team will continue to focus on the integration of WestJet Vacations.
“I'm committed to leaving on a high note once the integration is complete, while welcoming new colleagues and readying the brand so that it can unlock its immense potential,” he said.
“The WestJet Group has a long-term strategy in place for the crucial vacations business, and I look forward to continuing to build on that vision over the coming year and of course championing my team's success in the years that follow."
