Goway to make Journey of a Lifetime in Africa

In true Goway spirit, President Bruce Hodge along with Eastern Canada BDM Sam Cottar paid a visit to the PAXnews.com office donning the appropriate costumes to promote its first-ever Journey of a Lifetime package, a cross-continent African odyssey taking travellers from South Africa to Egypt with plenty of excitement to be had along the way.

The 32-day adventure departs Jan. 15, 2016 and will take travellers ‘from Cape to Cairo,’ traversing nine nations in eastern Africa including stops in Botswana, Zimbabwe and Kenya as the itinerary makes its way north, including a luxury African rail journey on Rovos Rail between South Africa and Tanzania.

Much as Goway’s Holidays of a Lifetime promise ‘something special’ during the trip, the Journey of a Lifetime will feature ‘something extra special’ for travellers.

According to Goway President Bruce Hodge (who will join travellers on the journey), the escorted small-group journey includes 14 “bucket list items” for travellers, including visits to Cape Town, Victoria Falls, the pyramids at Giza as well as wildlife experiences including a game drive for ‘the big five’ and a visit with mountain gorillas. During the expedition, travellers will also stay at a number of iconic African properties, including the Victoria Falls Hotel and Cairo’s Manor House.

According to Hodge, the package took three months to organize.

Starting at $44,500 U.S. per person (based on twin share) and including “virtually everything” (excluding insurance and airfare to and from Africa) Hodge said that agents stand to make a large commission; while the package has just been announced, Hodge said that two of the 20 available spots have already been booked through word-of-mouth.
