G Adventures, NatGeo launch new trips

National Geographic and G Adventures have launched 70 trips in the new National Geographic Journeys with G Adventures program, available for booking as of Dec. 15.
The line-up of tours connects travellers with local cultures while discovering destinations where National Geographic’s explorers and storytellers have helped shaped history, according to G Adventures.
Each trip features travel experiences that are unique to this program, including encounters with National Geographic-supported researchers or projects. Examples include a game drive in South Africa with a scientist from the Endangered Wildlife Trust’s Carnivore Conservation Program in the Explore Kruger National Park itinerary; a dual-narrative walking tour in Israel led by both Israeli and Palestinian guides who were trained by a National Geographic Emerging Explorer with Israel and Beyond; and spending time at the Kyan Sithar Umin monastery in Burma to discuss Buddhism and daily life with a resident monk in The Heart of Myanmar.
Trips are seven to 21 days in length and appeal to travellers who appreciate free time and optional activities, but also enjoy the structure and safety of travelling with a group.
All tours will be led by a G Adventures' Chief Experience Officer (CEO), and groups will have up to 16 travellers with an average of 10-12.
Trips are on sale from Dec. 15, 2015 and the first departures begin on Jan. 5, 2016.
