Flair Airlines has returned to St. John’s airport (YYT), bringing non-stop seasonal service between Toronto Pearson (YYZ) and Newfoundland and Labrador.

“St. John’s is one of the most memorable destinations in Canada, and we’re proud to be returning with direct service from Toronto,” said Len Corrado, CEO of Flair Airlines, in a press release Friday (May 1).

“As more Canadians look to explore their own backyard, we’re focused on making it easier and more affordable to get there. Whether it’s visiting family or discovering the East Coast for the first time, this route connects Toronto to a place that’s one of a kind.”

Flair’s return to St. John’s reflects growing demand for travel to Atlantic Canada during peak seasons.

“This service adds valuable capacity and choice for travellers between YYT and Toronto-Pearson, which is our largest market," noted Dennis Hogan, CEO of the St. John’s International Airport Authority.

With its dramatic coastal landscapes, colourful row houses, and vibrant local culture, St. John’s offers travellers a uniquely Canadian experience.

“Strong air access is critical to the continued growth of tourism and the guest economy in the St. John’s region: we’re pleased to see Flair Airlines expanding service with a direct route to Toronto,” said Paul Buggé, CEO of Destination St. John’s. “This connection helps make our destination more accessible to travellers from across Canada and supports local tourism operators, accommodations, and experiences that benefit from increased visitation.”

Service resumes three times a week on May 1, with base fares starting at $159 CAD. Base fares are subject to government approval and may change.
