Flair Airlines has signed a new long-term partnership with Lufthansa Technik Canada covering engine maintenance and digital services for its Boeing 737 MAX 8 fleet.

Announced Thursday (Sept. 10), the agreement covers Flair’s 18 Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft powered by LEAP-1B engines.

According to Flair, the partnership will bring specialized engine expertise closer to its fleet, while strengthening supply chain resiliency and improving the airline’s ability to respond quickly when maintenance support is required.

The agreement will also support aviation and aerospace capabilities in Canada, the airline said.

As part of the partnership, Flair will adopt Lufthansa Technik’s Digital Tech Ops Ecosystem, providing its teams with additional tools and data to support maintenance planning, aircraft performance and operational decision-making.

“We’re proud to work with Lufthansa Technik Canada as we continue investing in our operation, our growth and the future of Canadian aviation,” Flair said in announcing the partnership on LinkedIn.
