Delta is set to fly its largest-ever trans-Atlantic schedule.
The airline, a codeshare partner with WestJet, will take flight from several US hubs to major destinations around the world.
Nearly 260 weekly Delta flights will leave New York next summer, landing in 29 destinations across 18 countries.
For the first time, Delta will connect customers with nonstop service from JFK airport to Naples, Italy, beginning May 23, 2024, and complementing its existing service to Milan, Venice and Rome.
The airline will also fly to Shannon, Ireland, beginning the same day, joining Delta’s existing flights to Dublin.
Flights from JFK to Munich will also be available three times a week beginning April 9, 2024.
New Delta flights to Zurich will also be departing from Atlanta four times a week beginning May 31, 2024, adding to the nearly 180 weekly flights to 21 destinations in Europe, Africa and the Middle East from the airline’s hometown hub.
Delta will provide even more flights from Atlanta to Paris and Venice next summer, as it increases its weekly flights to both top destinations.
The airline’s nonstop, daily flight from LAX to Auckland, New Zealand, which begins Oct. 28, 2023, will extend to year-round service, operating daily from November to March and three times weekly from April to October.
Delta will also increase service from LAX to Sydney, Australia, to twice-daily beginning this December.
Following winter service to Shanghai from Seattle and Detroit, Delta will also resume a four-times-weekly, year-round service to Shanghai-Pudong International Airport from its Los Angeles hub starting March 31, 2024.
This previously operated route will allow Delta customers to connect to many other cities in China via the airline’s partnership with China Eastern Airlines.
Delta serves 13 international cities from LAX, including Paris, London, Tokyo-Haneda and Sydney.
Travellers can expect even more Delta flights next summer, including additional flights to Paris from Cincinnati and Detroit, to Barcelona from JFK, to Reykjavik from Detroit, and to Athens from Boston.
