Cirium: WestJet ranks 8th, Air Canada 9th in March on-time performance
Air Canada and WestJet both placed in the lower half of Cirium’s 10-carrier North America on-time performance ranking for March 2026.
According to the latest data from Cirium, an aviation analytics company, WestJet ranked eighth among North American carriers tracked, posting a 67.50 per cent on-time arrival rate in March.
Air Canada ranked ninth with 61.30 per cent on-time arrivals.
Cirium’s report also includes completion factor and total flights tracked.
North America: top performers
Cirium’s March North America leaderboard was led by Alaska Airlines at 82.73 per cent on-time arrivals, followed by Delta Air Lines (78.63 per cent) and United Airlines (78.49 per cent).
American Airlines ranked fourth (76.08 per cent) and Southwest Airlines placed fifth (72.36 per cent).
The rest of the ranking included JetBlue (70.00 per cent), Frontier (69.68 per cent), WestJet and Air Canada, followed by Spirit Airlines at the bottom of the top 10.
Across North America, Cirium reported an average on-time arrival rate of 71.04 per cent for the month.
Global: SAS tops March rankings
Globally, SAS led Cirium’s March on-time ranking with 89.75 per cent on-time arrivals.
Aeromexico ranked second (88.88 per cent), followed by Singapore Airlines in third (88.32 per cent).
Cirium’s global top 10 also included Iberia, Korean Air, Hainan Airlines, LATAM Airlines, British Airways, Turkish Airlines and Air France.
