Close to 25 kg of suspected cocaine was seized at Toronto Pearson International Airport on Apr. 21, 2014.
According to the Canada Border Services Agency, officers monitored the offload of baggage arriving on a flight from Cancun, Mexico. After following the baggage into the baggage hall, one suitcase remained unclaimed. Upon further inspection of the suitcase, officers discovered 25 bricks containing a substance that field-tested positive for suspected cocaine.
The packages of suspected cocaine were turned over to the Peel Regional Police and the investigation is ongoing.
