British Airways launches status match offer, Air Canada qualifies

For a limited time, travellers can become a Silver or Gold Executive Club Member and enjoy more benefits when flying with British Airways. Membership at these tiers includes benefits like additional baggage, lounge access, and priority check-in.
Air Canada is one of the qualifying airlines – British Airways says it will match Aeroplan members who have 50K, 75K or Super Elite status.
The offer (which is only available to residents of Canada and the U.S.) involves completing the following steps:
- Join the Executive Club or log into their existing account
- Apply on British Airways' offer page by May 7, 2024.
- Upload proof of your status in an eligible Frequent Flyer program.
- The airline will review the application for up to five business days.
- Once approved, travellers will receive an acceptance email and an upgraded digital Membership card.
Participants from the following airlines are eligible to apply for the offer, which is free:
To extend the status, travellers must complete two qualifying transatlantic flights within six months of their upgrade date.
