Air Transat to undergo NDC transformation with Accelya
Air Transat is set to undergo a retail and distribution transformation thanks to a new multi-year FLX Platform agreement with global software provider Accelya.
The deal includes provisions for new distribution capabilities (NDC), which will modernize Air Transat’s product distribution, offering new benefits, more content and dynamic pricing.
The Accelya FLX Platform, powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS), enabled more than half of all global NDC transactions in 2023, according to data from T2RL/
According to a press release issued Monday (Oct. 21), the platform is now generating more than 350,000 personalized offers per second across its airline partners.
As part the deal, Accelya will integrate with Radixx Res for the first time to deliver NDC-enabled content.
"As the world’s number one leisure airline, we understand the need to continually innovate and ensure we can deliver the content our guests want in the channel of their choice,” said Benjamin Pron, vice-president commercial at Air Transat, in the release. “Accelya's years of experience developing and building NDC, track record in delivering real NDC adoption, and solution flexibility were key factors in choosing to partner with them. The Accelya FLX Platform will deliver guest-centric retailing, enabling Air Transat to further enhance its guest experience by offering personalized and flexible options. We are delighted to partner with Accelya on our modern retailing journey."
Sam Gilliland, CEO of Accelya, added: "Accelya continues to increase NDC enabled modern retailing with our FLX Platform, and this agreement with Air Transat emphasizes our leadership position. Airlines have their own distribution strategies and technology environments, and we pride ourselves on our platform’s open and modular design.”
“At Air Transat, Accelya is integrating with Radixx Res, an example of our FLX platform's ability to interface with existing technology and bring modern retailing capabilities to airlines.”
