Air Transat makes changes to Option Plus
Air Transat is evolving Option Plus to “better align our services while maintaining the privileges that matter most to our customers,” the airline says.
Starting November 1, 2025, certain onboard services usually included with Option Plus – such as the comfort kit, earbuds, snack, and alcoholic beverage—will no longer be provided complimentary.
“This change is part of an operational adjustment aimed at optimizing onboard efficiency while preserving the key benefits that make Option Plus valuable,” the airline said in a statement to PAX.
What remains included with Option Plus? One checked bag (23 kg), or an additional bag if one is already included in the fare, as well as standard seat selection.
In addition, customers will receive priority services, such as:
- Check-in at an exclusive counter
- Priority security screening (Montreal and Ottawa)
- Priority boarding
- Priority baggage delivery
Option Plus bookings made up to October 31, 2025, inclusively, for departures until April 30, 2026, will continue to include onboard services, the airline says.
For departures from May 1, 2026, if the booking was made before the implementation of the new conditions, a travel credit will be issued automatically: $25 for a one-way and $40 for a roundtrip.
“A communication will be sent to passengers during the week of November 3,” the airline says.
