Air Canada ups new Toronto-Delhi service
While Air Canada is still a few months away from launching its new Toronto-Delhi flight, the route will increase in frequency from from four times weekly to daily service beginning Oct. 30, 2016.
The new non-stop route is set to launch on Nov. 1, 2015, offering four weekly flights on the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, the airline’s first route to be dedicated to the new aircraft.
Air Canada will receive a total of 29 new 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft by 2019, in addition to eight 787-8 aircraft already in operation, as part of the carrier's fleet renewal and international expansion from its global hub at Toronto Pearson airport.
In its first year, the service will depart YYZ on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at 8:55 p.m. Further details about the incoming daily service have yet to be announced.
