Air Canada offering free itinerary changes amid possible Brussels strike
Due to possible industrial action in Brussels, Belgium, Air Canada has activated a goodwill policy for impacted customers.
Travellers with a reservation that includes a flight to, from or through Brussels International Airport (BRU) can make voluntary changes to their Air Canada booking if they purchased a ticket no later than Nov. 11, 2025 for travel between Nov. 25, 2025, and Nov. 26, 2025.
Those who are scheduled to travel during the affected period can retrieve their booking to change the flight, free of charge, to another date between Nov. 24, 2025, and Dec. 3, 2025, the airline says.
The change is subject to availability in the cabin originally purchased. Outside of those dates, any fare difference will apply.
Customers who purchased a ticket with Air Canada Vacations are to reach out to them directly.

Possible three-day strike
Brussels’ public transport network is expected to face major disruptions during a three-day strike scheduled for late November, the city’s transport operator STIB-MIVB announced on Monday (Nov. 10).
Although efforts are being made to prevent a total shutdown, passengers are advised to plan alternative travel options wherever possible during the strike period.
The strike—set for November 24, 25, and 26—was called by Belgian trade unions as part of a continuing wave of protests against several socio-economic reforms introduced by the Federal Government.
Unions have urged STIB-MIVB employees to join the full three-day walkout. However, the precise impact on bus, metro, and tram services remains uncertain.
