Air Canada launches first incentive program for Canadian travel agents

Air Canada has introduced its first-ever travel agent incentive program in Canada, called Air Canada & Me.

The program allows agents booking through AC Connex, Air Canada’s direct booking platform, to earn tokens that can be converted into Aeroplan points.

“Travel agents play a remarkable role in supporting the travel experience, uniting people day-in and day-out through their knowledge, expertise, and unwavering dedication,” said Mark Galardo, executive vice president and Chief Commercial Officer and President, Cargo. 

“Offering this program to travel agents reflects our commitment to travel professionals and our deep appreciation for the incredible work that they do every day.”

Lisa Pierce, vice president of global sales and Air Canada Vacations, added: “Through our new Air Canada & Me program, we want to sincerely thank travel agents for their commitment—recognizing and rewarding their loyalty so they can enjoy all the exceptional benefits of the Aeroplan program.”

How it works

Agents earn one token for every dollar booked and flown on AC Connex. Tokens can be converted into Aeroplan points at a rate of 10 tokens per point.

Once converted, Aeroplan points can be redeemed for flights on Air Canada and its partners, as well as for car rentals, hotels, upgrades, and merchandise through the Aeroplan eStore.

To mark the launch, agents who sign up before Oct. 31 will receive 500 bonus tokens, plus a 5X token bonus on flights to Europe (terms and conditions apply).

Eligibility

The program is open to all Canadian travel agents who are Aeroplan members, regardless of affiliation (IATA, TIDS). Both Air Canada & Me and Aeroplan membership are free to join.
