Air Canada delays resumption of Israel flights until Oct. 9
(Air Canada)

Air Canada has postponed the resumption of service between Canada and Israel to October 9, 2025.

Service was scheduled to resume on September 8, 2025, but is being delayed due to ongoing geopolitical uncertainty in the Middle East, reads a July 15 notice that was posted to the airline's website.

Air Canada notes that it has "a longstanding commitment to the Canada-Israel market and looks forward to restoring service between the two countries."

If you have an existing booking for travel to Tel Aviv between July 15 and October 8, 2025, you will be offered alternate travel options, including:

  • rebooking to a later date when flights resume
  • rebooking to another Air Canada destination
  • a travel credit
  • a full refund

If your itinerary is affected, Air Canada says it will send an email with more information about options.

Those who booked with a travel agent are advised to contact them directly.

"We regret the impact this may have on your travel plans," Air Canada says.
