Air Canada celebrates success of direct Vancouver-Brisbane flight
(Visit Brisbane)

More than 85 travel agents gathered Wednesday night (June 12) at Steamworks in Vancouver to celebrate the success of Air Canada’s direct flight from Vancouver to Brisbane.

The event was hosted by Air Canada, Goway Travel and Visit Brisbane, and a lucky agent was awarded Air Canada trips to Brisbane as a door prize.

Brisbane is the fastest entry point into Australia from Canada.

Host to the upcoming 2032 Olympics, Brisbane will welcome four new premium hotels in 2024: The Grand Star Brisbane (5-star hotel); Dorsett (4.5-star hotel); The Rosewood Hotel (Australia’s first 6-star hotel); and The Treasury Hotel, a refurbishment of one of city’s most iconic heritage hotels.

Brisbane will also soon be home to Bluey’s World, a brand-new immersive experience featuring real-life sets, recognizable scenes, and beloved characters and games from the hit kids’ show Bluey opening on Nov 7, 2024.

Housed within the expansive 4000 square-meter purpose-built Northshore Pavilion, Bluey’s World boasts a state-of-the-art venue situated in Brisbane’s latest arts and entertainment hub, Northshore.

Accessible by bus, car, foot and bike, visitors can even arrive via Brisbane’s iconic CityCat, as

featured in Bluey episodes, like ‘Spy Game’ and ‘Ice Cream.’

Tickets for Bluey’s World are now on sale, starting at AUD$49.90.
