Aeroplan streamlines validity of eUpgrade credits
(Aeroplan)
Pax Global Media

As part of Aeroplan’s 40th anniversary celebration, Air Canada has announced it is streamlining the validity of eUpgrade credits for Aeroplan Elite members.

Effective July 1, 2024, eUpgrade credits earned as part of status benefits will be valid for 12 months from the date they are issued.

Primary Aeroplan Premium credit cardholders will also have an additional 12 months of validity for all eUpgrades earned as part of status benefits, for a total of 24 months, and there will no longer be a cap at 50 credits maximum, replacing the current eUpgrade rollover benefit.

The changes do not apply retroactively to any eUpgrade credits earned before July 1, which will retain their existing validity.

Any unused eUpgrade credits earned through June 30, 2024, will be rolled over in 2025 (up to 50 credits total).

This one‑time rollover will be completed by March 31, 2025, and those credits will be valid until January 15, 2026.
