Vision acquires Edmonton's Globetrotter Travel

Vision Travel Solutions announced today that it has acquired Edmonton-based Globetrotter Travel, one of the city’s longest-running agencies.

Globetrotter owners Bill and Sue Pechtel, along with the entire Globetrotter staff, will continue to serve their clients out of Vision’s location in St. Albert, Alta, read a statement from Vision.

Bill Pechtel said that he is excited to see Globetrotter, founded in 1956, join Vision and introduce clients to the benefits of the Virtuoso travel network, which counts Vision as a leading member.

Vision plans to continue to expand through the acquisition of existing blue-chip agencies whose owners wish to stay in the industry, while becoming part of a larger organization which will take on much of the administration.
